What is Coaching?

We often want or wish for things in life such as a job that we enjoy doing, going to places that we always wanted to visit, being in a happy relationship, having time for ourselves, and a good work-life balance, but sometimes, something is holding us back.

This ‘something’ that holds us back from achieving our goals in life can be a naughty little devil that comes under different names such as procrastination, fear of failure, lack of confidence, limiting beliefs, ‘I can’t do that’, ‘I don’t have time for that’, ‘I’ll do it later’, ‘It isn’t under my control’, etc. I’m sure you’ve met this little devil before.

And this is where Coaching comes into play.
Coaching is about supporting and empowering you to make significant changes in your life, improve and develop yourself, remove the obstacles and fears (fight the little devil) and about unlocking your true potential.

To help you understand Coaching, think about it in this driving metaphor:
A Therapist will help you explore your past to uncover what stops you from driving a car.
A Counselor will listen to your concerns and anxieties about driving.
A Mentor will share their own experience of driving a car, offering handy tips.
A Coach will encourage and support you as you drive the car so that you become the best driver that you can be!
